New Delhi: A gym associated with singer Guru Randhawa’s fitness franchise was targeted in a firing incident late Wednesday night in Delhi’s Paschim Vihar area. According to the police, unidentified bike-borne men opened fire outside the premises before fleeing the scene.

The gym operates under the “24HS Fitness” franchise, which is reportedly owned by the singer. No injuries were reported in the incident, but multiple bullet rounds were fired, causing panic in the locality.

Bishnoi Gang Claims Role On Social Media

Shortly after the incident, posts circulated on social media claiming responsibility for the attack, allegedly made by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Police officials, however, said they are verifying the authenticity of these claims.

In one post attributed to gang member Anil Pandit, the firing was described as a warning to Guru Randhawa, alleging his proximity to actor Salman Khan as the motive behind the attack. The post also warned of further action against “enemies,” though investigators have not confirmed any of the statements.

Police Launch Investigation

Delhi Police teams reached the spot soon after receiving information about the firing. A detailed investigation has been launched, and the owner of the gym, a Delhi resident managing the franchise, has been called in for questioning.

Officials said preliminary findings suggest that two masked individuals on a motorcycle were involved in the firing. CCTV footage from nearby locations is being examined to identify the suspects and establish the sequence of events.

Link to Ongoing Gang Threats

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has previously been linked to several high-profile threats and attacks targeting celebrities and public figures. The group has been under scrutiny for a pattern of intimidation, extortion, and violent incidents across multiple states and even abroad.

Investigators are also probing whether the latest firing is part of a larger pattern of targeted threats or an isolated intimidation attempt.

Probe Continues

Police have not yet confirmed the authenticity of the social media claims and are treating all angles, including possible extortion or targeted intimidation. Further investigation is underway to identify those involved and determine the exact motive behind the attack.
