Postmortem of the bodies started

According to the information, the bodies of 36 dead have been kept in Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajganj. The hospital administration said that the postmortem of the dead has been started in Maharajganj from Friday.

Clashes and violence took so many lives

Nepali police sources say that such a large number of lives were lost due to clashes and violent incidents during the movement. Security forces have been deployed at the intersections to control the situation. Constant monitoring is being done.

Hotel industry suffers losses worth billions of rupees

Nepal's hotel industry has suffered losses of more than 25 billion Nepalese rupees. This industry earns important revenue for the tourism-driven economy. Quoting a statement issued by the Hotel Association Nepal (HAN), My Republica news portal reported that the most damaged hotel in Kathmandu was Hilton Hotel, which alone suffered losses of more than 8 billion rupees.

It said that other major domestic and international brand hotels in Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara, Butwal, Bhairahawa, Jhapa, Viratnagar, Dhangadhi, Mahottari and Dang-Tulsipur also suffered the brunt of the violence.

HAN said that many affected hotels will not be able to resume operations without repairs and reconstruction, affecting the jobs of more than 2,000 workers.
