New Delhi: 12 soldiers were killed in an ambush by Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) on an army convoy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The attack took place in Badar area of ​​South Waziristan near the Afghanistan border.

The army says that 13 terrorists were killed in retaliatory action. So far 35 terrorists have been killed in different operations in the last four days. Taking responsibility for the incident, TTP said that they also looted army weapons and drones.

Helicopters seen

Local people say that after the attack they saw many helicopters in the area. Usually curfew is imposed in this area before the arrival of a military convoy. Islamabad alleges that the Afghan Taliban administration is sheltering the TTP.

Six employees of a power company kidnapped

Six employees of a power company were kidnapped by terrorists while on duty in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The incident took place on Friday in Pir Dal Khel area of ​​Bannu district bordering North Waziristan.

The team of Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) was repairing power lines when armed terrorists attacked and kidnapped the employees and their driver. Police and security forces have launched a search operation to ensure the release of the hostages.
