Islamabad: A major massacre has taken place in Pakistan's troubled Balochistan. In Zhob region, militants killed nine passengers on a bus going to Lahore. Gunmen stopped the bus on the highway.

After this, militants seeing the identity cards of the passengers, got them off the bus and then shot them. So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Zhob Assistant Commissioner Naveed Alam said that gunmen stopped a bus going from Quetta to Lahore on the Zhob highway.

After this, they boarded the bus and checked the identity cards of the passengers. In this, the nine passengers who had identity cards of Punjab province were taken off the bus and shot. He said that we have sent nine bodies to the hospital for post-mortem and burial process.

This is not the first time that militants have targeted people from Punjab province and passenger buses running on various highways of Balochistan.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. But there is a possibility of an attack by Baloch groups. Because they have targeted people from Punjab earlier as well.

Attacks in Quetta, Loralai and Mastung

At the same time, militants also attacked in Quetta, Loralai and Mastung, but security forces foiled these attacks.

Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind claimed that security forces stopped the attacks. He said that there is no news of any casualties in any of these.

Balochistan is the poorest area of ​​​​Pakistan

Balochistan, bordering Iran and Afghanistan, has long been a center of violent insurgency. Balochistan has natural resources such as gas, minerals and coastal assets, yet it is the poorest and most underdeveloped area of ​​​​Pakistan.

Baloch insurgent groups often attack security personnel, government projects and the US $ 60 billion China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

Meanwhile, extremists also carried out three terror attacks in Quetta, Loralai and Mastung but Balochistan government spokesman Shahid Rind claimed that security forces foiled these attacks.
