Ramnagar Police revealed two major thefts, recovering cash and jewelry worth 12 lakh from a wedding and jewelry worth 30 lakh from a residence. SSP rewarded the team and advised citizens to remain vigilant.
Ramnagar: The SSP of Nainital, Manjunath T.C., held a press conference to announce the successful resolution of two significant theft cases. The first incident took place on November 4 at Tiara Resort, where thieves posing as uninvited guests at a wedding stole cash, gold jewelry, and mobile phones worth around 12 lakh. The victim, Vikas Agrawal, filed an FIR on November 13, following the incident.
According to the SSP, careful planning and precise action by the Ramnagar Police led to the recovery of the stolen bag in Madhya Pradesh. The accused, Kunal and Abhivan, residents of Rajgarh, Madhya Pradesh, remain at large. Authorities stated that this gang frequently targets weddings and events at large resorts and hotels, carrying out similar thefts.
The second case involved a robbery at the home of Suman, a resident of Ramnagar, on December 8, where gold jewelry worth approximately 30 lakh was stolen. Following an investigation, the police arrested Navdeep Sharma and a minor on December 16. Recovered items included two gold biscuits, two bangles, and two kadas, which the victim identified at the scene. The SSP recognized the officers involved in the investigation with rewards for their effective action. He also appealed to the public to remain vigilant during weddings, functions, and at their homes, emphasizing the importance of security measures to prevent such incidents.
