Badshah says 'ready for the next phase' amidst Tateeree controversy
New Delhi: Rapper Badshah has spoken about the emotional toll of the recent controversy surrounding his song Tateeree, saying the past few weeks have been particularly challenging.
In a note shared on Instagram after a concert in London, the rapper admitted that the phase tested him in ways he had not anticipated. He also reflected on the contrast between public perception and personal struggles behind the scenes.
Badshah said his recent performance in London helped him reconnect with his purpose. Performing before a packed audience, he described the energy and support from fans as overwhelming.
According to the artist, the response at the concert reminded him of his journey and the connection he shares with listeners. He expressed gratitude to fans who travelled from different places to attend the show and continued to support him during a difficult time.

The controversy began earlier this month after objections were raised over the lyrics and visuals of Tateeree. A complaint was filed in Panchkula on March 6, prompting legal scrutiny.
Following the complaint, Haryana Police initiated action and coordinated with social media platforms to remove related content. Officials stated that hundreds of links connected to the song were taken down as part of the process.
Badshah later issued a public apology on social media, acknowledging concerns and confirming that the official video had been removed.
Amid the backlash, the rapper also made headlines for his personal life. Reports of his wedding with Punjabi actor Isha Rikhi surfaced online, marking a significant personal milestone during a turbulent period.
