New Delhi: Businessman and former IPL chairman Lalit Modi has once again spoken about his past relationship with actor and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, addressing long-standing online criticism and media speculation surrounding their brief public association in 2022.

In a recent conversation, Lalit Modi strongly rejected the label of “gold digger” that was widely circulated against Sushmita Sen after their relationship became public, insisting that it was entirely misplaced and unfair.

Lalit Modi described Sushmita Sen as financially independent and successful in her own right. He said she was a “remarkable, self-made woman” who had achieved significant wealth through her career and personal efforts.

He further emphasized that during their time together, Sushmita Sen often took charge of expenses, stating that she never depended on anyone financially. According to Lalit Modi, the perception of her as someone seeking financial gain was completely inaccurate.
