Drones were also spotted inside and outside Karup Air Base on Friday night, leading to the airspace being temporarily closed to civilian aircraft.

Tightened Security At Airports

Drones were spotted over four Danish airports recently, including Copenhagen Airport, disrupting flights for several hours. Help From Sweden

Denmark has decided to borrow an anti-drone system from Sweden in anticipation of next week's EU summit. However, the ministry has not shared further details. German Security Alert

German Interior Minister Sabine Sütterlin-Waack said she is working with several northern German states to develop a plan to combat the drone problem. Meanwhile, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz warned that Europe is currently in a state of peace. He said that frequent drone flights, cyberattacks, and sabotage incidents point to a major threat.

Suspicion Deepens On Russia

Denmark and Germany have not directly named any country, but security experts believe Russia may be behind these mysterious drone activities. Northern Europe is already on high alert following the 2019 "Tiergarten murders" in Berlin and recent cyberattacks. Meanwhile, both countries have announced plans to further strengthen their security infrastructure.

Increasing drone activity in Denmark has challenged security. Several European countries have jointly developed a strategy to counter this threat. These security measures are expected to improve the security situation in the region in the future.
