Gaza: The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has become more horrific. At least 18 Palestinians were killed in Israeli firing on Saturday, including eight people who had reached the aid center only to get food. This firing took place when people gathered near the distribution center of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation to get food aid.

Distribution centers defended Israel
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation denied the allegations and said that no such incident took place near their site. The Israeli army also claims that they fired only as a warning. But the UN report says that from May 27 to July 31, 859 people were killed near the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation centers and hundreds of others lost their lives on the food convoy routes.
Family destroyed in air strikes
At least 10 other people were killed in Israeli air strikes on Saturday, including five members of the same family. The attack took place on a house between Deir al-Balah and Jawadiya, in which two parents and their three children were killed. Along with this, a mother and daughter were also killed in an attack on a tent near Khan Younis.
Demonstration for the release of hostages
On the other hand, the relatives of the hostages protested in Tel Aviv and appealed to the government to end the war and bring back the hostages. US envoy Steve Witkoff also met these families and said that America is now looking for new ways to release the hostages and make Gaza safe.
UN expressed displeasure over air aid
Many countries are now resorting to air drops to deliver relief material to Gaza. But the United Nations and many agencies say that this method is neither sufficient nor effective. UNRWA chief Philip Lazzarini said that if there is political will for air drops, then why is there no will to deliver help on the ground?
