New Delhi: US President Donald Trump recently announced a total tariff of 50% on India. Initially, the tariff was imposed at the rate of 25%, which was later increased by another 25% to a total of 50%.

Trump alleged that India was buying cheap oil from Russia, which was supporting the war machine's garage earnings. Regarding this, he said if India does not stop doing this, it will have to pay a heavy economic price.
