Washington: US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran has effectively “lost” the ongoing conflict in West Asia and has apologised to neighbouring countries following intense military pressure.

In a strongly worded message posted on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said Iran had promised not to attack neighbouring states anymore. According to him, this shift in Iran’s stance came after sustained military strikes by the United States and Israel.

Statement Comes After Iran Signals De-escalation

“Iran, which is being beat to HELL, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle East neighbors, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore. This promise was only made because of the relentless U.S. and Israeli attack,” Trump wrote in a heavily-worded post on Truth Social.

Trump’s remarks came hours after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian indicated a possible step toward reducing regional tensions. Pezeshkian said Iran had instructed its armed forces not to attack neighbouring countries unless attacks against Iran originated from their territories.

He also referred to neighbouring nations as Iran’s “brothers” and expressed regret over the tensions caused during the conflict. The Iranian leader emphasised that Tehran had no intention of launching attacks against nearby countries if they remained neutral.

Trump Credits US-Israel Military Pressure

Reacting to the statement, Trump argued that Iran’s decision was a direct result of continuous military pressure.

He said the promise made by Tehran was possible only because of what he described as “relentless” strikes carried out by American and Israeli forces during the ongoing conflict. Trump also claimed that Iran had long sought to dominate the Middle East but had now been forced to step back.

Escalating Conflict in West Asia

The conflict between Iran, the United States and Israel has intensified in recent weeks, raising concerns about wider instability across the Middle East. Military actions, missile exchanges and naval confrontations in the region have kept global attention focused on the situation.

Uncertain Path Ahead

While Iran’s recent statements suggest a willingness to reduce tensions with neighbouring countries, analysts believe the broader conflict remains unpredictable.

Diplomatic observers say the coming weeks will determine whether the region moves toward de-escalation or faces further military confrontation as geopolitical rivalries continue to unfold.
