US-Iran Peace Deal Nears Finish Line as Trump Pushes for End to Middle East Conflict. (Img Internet)
Washington: The United States and Iran are reportedly on the verge of reaching a major peace agreement that could bring an end to months of tensions and conflict in the Middle East. According to reports, the deal may be finalised as early as this weekend, marking a significant diplomatic breakthrough for both sides.
US President Donald Trump is said to be actively backing the agreement and has conveyed his intention to move forward despite reservations from Israel. During a recent conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump reportedly stressed that the time had come to end the conflict and secure a broader regional understanding.
The expected agreement is being viewed as a crucial step toward reducing instability that has affected the region for several months.
While Israel is not a direct participant in the negotiations, its concerns remain central to discussions surrounding the deal. Israeli leaders have repeatedly emphasized the need for long-term security guarantees and measures to address Iran’s nuclear activities.
According to statements from the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu welcomed assurances that future negotiations would address issues such as uranium enrichment, missile development and Iran’s support for armed groups in the region.
Media reports suggest there were differences between Washington and Tel Aviv over how to approach Iran in recent weeks. Sources indicated that Israel had considered additional military actions targeting Iranian infrastructure, but those plans did not move forward.
Despite these disagreements, both countries continue to maintain close communication regarding developments tied to the proposed agreement.
Although negotiators appear close to signing an initial accord, Iran’s nuclear programme is not expected to be fully covered in the first phase of the agreement. Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has indicated that discussions on nuclear-related matters will continue after the initial deal is signed.
If completed, the agreement could represent one of the most significant diplomatic developments in the region in recent years, with potential implications for regional security and international relations.
