New Delhi: Tulsi Gabbard has issued a significant statement during a key meeting of the US Congress. She stated that Pakistan is developing long-range ballistic missiles that could, in the future, directly reach the United States, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Concerns Over Pakistan's Missile Capabilities

According to Gabbard, Pakistan is working on missile technology that could reach the level of an Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This implies that these missiles would be capable of striking targets thousands of kilometers away.

Growing Threats from Around the Globe

She also noted that it is not just Pakistan; Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran are also rapidly working on new and advanced missile technologies. These nations are developing new delivery systems for both nuclear and conventional weapons.

Threat Expected to Multiply by 2035

US intelligence agencies estimate that the current global threat involves approximately 3,000 missiles—a figure that could surge to over 16,000 by 2035. This means that security challenges could multiply manifold in the near future.

Specific Preparations by China and Russia

Gabbard stated that China and Russia are developing missiles capable of evading US defense systems. This could pose a new challenge to America's national security.

North Korea and Iran Also Active

North Korea's missiles are already capable of reaching the United States, and the country is actively working to expand its nuclear arsenal. Meanwhile, Iran may also advance toward developing ICBMs in the future.

What is the US strategy?

The United States asserts that its nuclear deterrence capabilities remain robust and continue to ensure the nation's security. However, given the evolving geopolitical landscape, new strategies will be required.
