New Delhi: Donald Trump made a surprising claim that Iran has “gifted” 10 oil tankers to the United States. According to him, 8 of these tankers have already crossed the Strait of Hormuz, and all of them were carrying Pakistan’s flags.
He presented this move as a sign that Iran is serious about ending the ongoing conflict and is willing to take steps toward peace.
Trump also criticized Iran for charging tolls on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. He said such actions are not acceptable and should stop immediately.
The Strait of Hormuz is one of the world’s most important oil routes, and any disruption there affects global oil supply and prices. This makes the situation even more sensitive and important for international stability.
At the same time, Trump issued a strong warning to Iran. He said Iran must agree to a deal, especially regarding its nuclear ambitions.
According to him, Iran has a chance to completely give up its nuclear program and choose a peaceful path. However, if Iran refuses, the United States will continue its attacks and could take even stronger action.
He clearly stated that if Iran does not cooperate, the consequences would be very serious.
Trump also mentioned that controlling Iran’s oil supply is an option the United States could consider. This indicates that economic pressure could be used alongside military action.
He suggested that oil remains a key factor in this conflict, and controlling it could weaken Iran’s position.
Trump compared the Iran situation with Venezuela. He claimed that the US had success in dealing with Venezuela by working with alternative leadership and managing oil-related issues.
He hinted that a similar strategy could be applied to Iran if needed. According to him, such an approach had brought economic benefits to the US in the past.
In simple terms, Trump’s statement shows a mix of diplomacy and threat. On one side, he is pointing to possible peace signals from Iran, like the tanker claim. On the other side, he is clearly warning of continued attacks and stronger action if Iran does not agree to US demands.
This reflects how tense and uncertain the situation in the region currently is, with both negotiation and conflict happening at the same time.
