US Urges Its Citizens To Leave Middle East As Tension Escalates, Know What’s Going On In West Asia

The US has urged its citizens living in West Asia to leave the region as tension escalates in the region. The US further warns that flights could also be cancelled.

US told its citizens to leave West Asia

Washington: The US has told its citizens in the Middle East to think about leaving, or at least get ready to. Security alerts posted by US missions in Amman, Jerusalem and Baghdad said Americans should check their flights and follow local safety advice. The warning came as fighting between the US and Iran picked up again this week after a short pause.
The alert told Americans in the region to stay alert and prepared. Flights could get cancelled, airspace could shut down without warning, and travel plans could fall apart fast.

Trump says more strikes could be coming

President Trump isn’t backing down. Talking to reporters at Camp David on Friday, he said the US “just wants to win,” and made clear the military campaign against Iran could keep going. His message was blunt: Washington will hit Iran hard.

Iran points the finger back

Iran isn’t staying quiet either. Its military accused the US on Saturday of pushing the region toward more conflict. Ali Abdollahi, who heads Iran’s military command, warned other countries not to help the US, saying anyone acting as a “shield” for America would get caught in the fallout.

Kuwait hit by drones

Kuwait’s military said it had to respond to drone strikes on Saturday, which it linked to Iran. A defense ministry spokesman said the drones damaged several important sites, including a government building in the north. No one was hurt.

Ships under attack again

Shipping is getting hit too. Two tankers near Oman were reportedly attacked. One was struck by a projectile that damaged its engine room. The other reported a large explosion nearby. Both spots sit right at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz, a route that’s already tense.
Meanwhile, Yemen’s Houthi rebels forced eight Saudi ships to change course through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, sending them all the way around Africa instead. It’s another sign of how fast things are unraveling across the region’s waterways.
