New Delhi: Delhi is expected to witness intense heat on Sunday, with the maximum temperature likely to reach 42°C and the minimum hovering around 32°C. The mercury is projected to stay close to 33°C for most of the day, resulting in consistently hot conditions with little relief.

Warm Winds to Continue

Wind conditions are unlikely to ease the discomfort. Speeds are forecast at around 7.7 km/h, with gusts reaching up to 12.88 km/h. The wind direction, expected at 103 degrees, suggests a flow of warm air, adding to the dry and oppressive weather across the city.

Extended Daylight Hours Intensify Heat

The sun rose at 05:38 AM and is expected to set at 06:57 PM, leading to prolonged exposure to sunlight. The extended daytime hours are likely to intensify heat levels, especially during the afternoon, making outdoor activities difficult.

Weekly Forecast Indicates Persistent Heat

The seven-day outlook shows a continued spell of high temperatures. The mercury is expected to touch 42°C on Sunday, ease slightly to 40°C on Monday, and dip to 39°C on Tuesday and 38°C on Wednesday. However, temperatures are predicted to rise again, reaching 39°C on Thursday, 40°C on Friday, and peaking at 42°C by Saturday.
