Greater Noida: Greater Noida witnessed a tragic incident after a 16 year old Class 10 student lost her life following an episode linked to alleged misconduct during a school examination. The incident has sparked widespread concern among parents and educators, raising serious questions about student well being, exam pressure and the handling of disciplinary matters involving minors. Police have confirmed that the student was found dead at her residential complex in Greater Noida West on December 23.

Allegations During Pre Board Examination

According to the police, the student was accused of using AI based tools during a pre board examination after a mobile phone was allegedly found in use. The invigilator reportedly reprimanded her and informed the class teacher, following which she was taken to the school principal. The school authorities then contacted her parents and called them to the campus. The sequence of events that followed has now become the focus of intense scrutiny.

Father Alleges Mental Harassment

The student’s father has lodged a formal complaint accusing the school administration of mental harassment and humiliation of his daughter. He stated that his daughter had unknowingly carried her mobile phone to school on the day of the examination. According to him, she was reprimanded in a manner that caused severe emotional distress. He alleged that she was repeatedly insulted and labelled careless, which left her traumatised.

Names Mentioned in Complaint

In his complaint, the father named the class teacher Poonam Dubey, another teacher identified as Taapas, and members of the school management. He alleged that their conduct contributed to his daughter’s emotional breakdown. Demand for Legal Action

The father has urged the police to register a case under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Section 108 related to abetment of suicide along with other relevant provisions. He has maintained that his daughter was subjected to unnecessary pressure and public humiliation instead of being handled with care and sensitivity appropriate for a minor.
