New Delhi: Security agencies have become fully alert in view of the possibility of terrorist attacks on various airports in India. The Civil Aviation Security Bureau of the Bureau of Security (BCAS) issued a serious warning, instructing all the airports, airfields, air force stations, and helipads across the country to further harden the security system. This step has been taken on the basis of special information received by central intelligence agencies.

According to BCAs, according to information received from intelligence sources, some terrorist organizations or anti-social elements can attack any airport in the country between September 22 and October 2, 2025. Sources also say that this danger is associated with the activities of Pakistani terrorist groups. For this reason, on August 4, BCAS alerted all the concerned agencies by issuing an advisory.

Security system will be tightened more

Given this danger, BCAS has issued several important instructions, including the following points:

Strict ID Verification

The identity of all employees, contractors, and visitors working at airports will be strictly investigated. No one will be given admission to the airport premises without a valid identity card.

CCTV and 24x7 Surveillance

All CCTV cameras will be constantly monitored, and it will be ensured that they are working properly. The control room will be monitored at all times so that any suspicious activity can be caught immediately.

Enhanced Coordination of Security Agencies

Better coordination will be created between local police, CISF (Central Industrial Security Force), IB (Intelligence Bureau), and other security forces. Any suspicious information will be shared immediately so that quick action can be taken.

Enhanced Passenger Screening

Passengers and their belongings will be more strictly investigated. Special attention will be paid to suspicious objects or individuals.

Is this the first time such an alert has been issued?

No, the security of airports has been tightened in view of terrorist threats many times before. However, this time intelligence information is particularly clear, and it also has a deadline (22 September to 2 October), causing security preparations to be taken even more seriously.

What is the advice for common citizens?

BCAS has appealed to passengers that they:

Reach the airport ahead of time, as security checks may take longer. Immediately inform the authorities of any suspicious item or person.

Always keep your identity card (ID proof).

Given such danger, the government and security agencies are fully conscious, but the vigilance of the general public is also very important. If everyone takes precautions, anything untoward can be stopped.
