New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled India’s squad for the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, set to commence on June 14. Harmanpreet Kaur will continue to lead the team, with Smriti Mandhana serving as her deputy.

However, one of the notable absences in the squad is all-rounder Amanjot Kaur, a key player for India. The star cricketer will miss the tournament due to an injury and is expected to be sidelined for the next three to four months, as confirmed by captain Harmanpreet Kaur. This comes as a significant blow for the Indian side, with Amanjot being a vital contributor with both bat and ball.

Also missing from the squad is bowler Kashvee Gautam, whose exclusion has raised some eyebrows. The team, however, will look to adjust and build on the strength of the remaining players as they prepare for a challenging campaign in South Africa.
