New Delhi: Amid India-Pakistan tensions, Turkey has been in the spotlight, with its pro-Pakistan stance becoming evident. Opposition against Pakistan's ally is growing in India, and the Boycott Turkey campaign is gaining momentum. This could cost Turkey nearly ₹4,000 crores in losses

According to Dynamite News correspondent, Azerbaijan may also have to bear the brunt of friendly relations with Pakistan by suffering an annual loss of about Rs 3000 crore.

Traders impose a ban.

Traders' organizations across the country have already banned goods coming from Türkiye and Azerbaijan. A decision to break all trade relations with these countries can be taken in a big trader meeting to be held in the capital, Delhi, on May 16.

Truck operators also stand up.

At the same time, truck operator organizations have also refused to transport any goods coming from Türkiye and Azerbaijan from one place to another within the country. These organizations have reiterated the demand to the central government to stop trade relations with these countries.

Considering the upcoming step

Along with the traders, truck operators are also expecting the centre to ban the airlines of these countries as well. If this happens, India's trade with these countries may come to a complete halt.

Impact on imports and economic loss

If these restrictions are implemented, Türkiye and Azerbaijan may lose crores of rupees every year from India. India imports goods like salt, food items, chemicals, jewelry, livestock products, mineral oil, and nuclear reactor parts from Türkiye.

What could be the option?

If India breaks economic relations with these countries, there is a possibility that India's products may be banned in these countries as well. This can cause losses to both sides.

Decision and opinion of truck operators

Rajendra Kapoor, president of the All India Motor and Goods Transport Association, said that truck operators across the country will no longer transport any goods coming from Turkey and Azerbaijan to other areas of the country.

Appeal to the government.

Kapoor has urged the central government to impose a trade ban against these countries with immediate effect. He believes that doing business with these anti-India countries is not in the national interest.

Patriotism message

He said that our soldiers are shedding their blood on the border, and on the other hand, trade is being done with these countries; this is not fair. It is our responsibility to support the soldiers and stand in the national interest.

Kapoor has decided in the executive meeting of his organization, keeping the national interest in mind, that in the coming time his members will not do any business activity related to Turkey and Azerbaijan.
