Srinagar: Security forces opened fire after suspected movement was detected in a wooded area of Majalta in Jammu and Kashmir’s Udhampur district on Wednesday, officials said. Following the alert, security personnel launched an extensive search operation across the forested belt.

The development comes amid increased vigilance in the region, with security agencies monitoring possible movement in the forest areas.
