Two terrorist killed in Jammu Kashmir
Srinagar: The Indian Army killed two terrorists trying to infiltrate across the border in the Naushera area of Gurez sector near the Line of Control (LoC) in Bandipora district of North Kashmir in the early hours of Thursday. An army official said that the security forces foiled the infiltration attempt of the terrorists in a joint operation conducted in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
According to sources, the Jammu and Kashmir Police received information about infiltration in the Naushera sector on the LoC. After this, the Special Operations Group of the Indian Army and the Police jointly conducted the operation. During this, the activity of suspected terrorists was seen and the soldiers challenged them. The terrorists started firing in response, after which the security forces retaliated and killed two terrorists. The operation is still going on.

Giving information on X, Chinar Corps said that this operation was started on the basis of intelligence of Jammu and Kashmir Police. The soldiers saw suspicious activity and challenged them, after which the terrorists started firing. The army retaliated quickly and killed two terrorists.

Earlier on August 25, security forces foiled an infiltration attempt by terrorists near the LoC in Uri sector of Baramulla district. The soldiers saw suspicious activity in the Torna area of Uri sector and after firing, a search operation was launched in the area. On August 13, an Indian soldier was martyred in an attack by Pakistan's Border Action Team (BAT) in Uri sector. Mike Battalion of 9 Bihar was deployed in that attack.

The army has also confirmed the martyrdom of a soldier in Kupwara district. The Chinar Corps has saluted the bravery and dedication of Havildar Iqbal Ali and expressed sympathy to his family. The army said that they stand in full solidarity with the family of the martyred soldier and are committed to their well-being.
