Kedarnath Dham to reopen on 22 April

Dehradun: Shri Kedarnath Dham portals will reopen for devotees at 8 in the morning on 22 April. This was announced by Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee today on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri at the winter Gaddi in Omkareshwar Temple at Ukhimath.

Preparations are underway for the Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra 2026. In this context, the opening dates for the four holy places are also being announced according to the ascendant.

The opening of the doors of Badrinath Dham was previously announced on 23 January. The doors of Badrinath Dham will open on 23 April at 6:15 AM with rituals and Vedic chanting. Furthermore, the opening dates for the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham have not yet been announced. However, the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham open on Akshaya Tritiya, which also marks the beginning of the Chardham Yatra. However, an official announcement is required for these dates, which has not yet been made. This year, Akshaya Tritiya falls on 19 April.
