New Delhi: At least eight pilgrims were killed and several injured after a pickup truck fell into a deep ravine in Nandurbar, Maharashtra.

Pickup truck lost control and overturned at the Chandshaili Ghat. Eight people died in the accident. The injured have been hospitalized for treatment.

According to reports, the pickup occupants were returning from the Astamba Devi Yatra. The driver lost control at a turn in the ghat, causing the vehicle to plunge into a deep ravine.

The accident was so devastating that the pickup truck was completely damaged. The pilgrims were ejected from the vehicle. Eight people were killed and eight others injured.
