Investigations reveal that JeM’s Faridabad-Saharanpur module, including Dr. Muzammil and Dr. Umar, used the encrypted app Session to communicate with handlers. Turkey was chosen as a safe meeting spot to avoid detection and traceability by Indian agencies.
JeM Module Used Encrypted App and Turkey as Safe Meeting Point
New Delhi: Recently, the investigation into the Faridabad-Saharanpur module of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed has revealed several important details.
The investigation revealed that Dr. Muzammil and Dr. Umar, both accused in this module, were associated with the fidayeen module and used the encrypted messenger app "Session" to communicate with their handlers.
The unique feature of the "Session" app is that it does not require a mobile number to create an account. Furthermore, the app does not store chat metadata, ensuring complete confidentiality and no tracking. This is why Jaish's fidayeen module adopted it to prevent agencies from tracking their contacts.

The investigation also revealed that the handler whom Dr. Muzammil initially contacted was named "Abu Uksa." This handler used a virtual number in Turkey. Initially, the handler initiated the conversation on a WhatsApp number (+90), but later asked them to communicate via the Session app to prevent leaks.
Furthermore, Turkey was chosen as the location for the meeting in 2022. This strategy was adopted to avoid any tip-off from Indian security agencies and to ensure that if the doctors were apprehended, their links to Jaish or Pakistan would not be revealed.

The investigation also revealed that the Faridabad-Saharanpur module was connected to two Telegram groups: "Umar bin Khitab" and "Farzan Darul Uloom."
These groups shared old statements by Jaish-e-Mohammed and Maulana Masood Azhar, posts inciting jihad, and material promoting terrorist activities.
Intelligence agencies believe that these groups were closely linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and were working to keep the module's terrorists active.
This revelation clearly demonstrates that the Faridabad-Saharanpur module of Jaish-e-Mohammed operated with complete strategy and technology.
The use of encrypted messenger apps, foreign locations, and the organization's activities through Telegram groups were part of a well-planned strategy. The vigilance of security agencies and forensic investigations exposed the module's activities and network.
