It was Pakistan's compulsion: MEA

The Ministry of External Affairs said that talks took place between the DGMOs of India and Pakistan on May 10, after which a ceasefire was agreed upon. Pakistan had requested this conversation on the same day, and India also said that it was Pakistan's compulsion, as the Indian Air Force had carried out heavy attacks on Pakistan's air force bases on the same day. India said that the strength of its army forced Pakistan towards a ceasefire.

The Ministry of External Affairs also informed that India made it clear to various countries that only terrorist hideouts were targeted in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22. If Pakistan does not fire, India will also not retaliate. On the other hand, if Pakistan attacks, India will give a befitting reply.

Kashmir is a matter of India and Pakistan only: MEA

On US President Donald Trump's statement on Kashmir, Randhir Jaiswal said that India's stand is very clear and stable. All issues related to Kashmir are only between India and Pakistan. This policy of India will never change, and Pakistan will have to vacate the occupied Kashmir (PoK).
