New Delhi: After the Pahalgam terror attack, there is anger throughout the whole country. Pakistani actor Fawad Khan's film "Abir Gulaal" to be released in India has been completely banned, reports Dynamite News correspondent. There were already speculations about this.
All the associations and federations of artists in Maharashtra had also said that they would not support this film. Now the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has completely banned this film.
"Abir Gulaal" was going to be released in theaters on May 9. It features Pakistan's famous superstar Fawad Khan and actress Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles.
There was a lot of opposition on social media regarding this film. However, this protest was going on even before the Pahalgam terror attack. Maharashtra Navnirman Sena also strongly opposed the release of this film.
But after the terrorist attack, seeing the outrage across the country, this film was immediately banned. People had demanded a ban on social media.
Now the ministry has put a complete ban on "Abhiir Gulaal" keeping in mind the national security and public sentiments. With this, it is now clear that no Pakistani actor will be seen in Indian cinema. Nor will any Pakistani artist be seen performing anywhere in India.
