Islamabad: According to the latest information received by India's intelligence agencies, India's most wanted terrorist and Jaish-e-Mohammed chief Masood Azhar is currently hiding in Gilgit-Baltistan area of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

According to reports, Azhar has recently been seen in Sadpara Road area of Skardu, which is more than 1,000 kilometers away from his traditional hideout Bahawalpur.

Skardu is considered a quiet tourist destination, where there are many lakes, nature parks and religious places as well as government and private guest houses. The hiding of a notorious terrorist like Azhar in such a low-profile area is considered strategically important. India Today's report claims that Azhar is hiding in Skardu.

What happened to Zardari's claim?

Earlier, former Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had claimed that Masood Azhar may be hiding in Afghanistan and if he is found in Pakistan, there will be no hesitation in handing him over to India, but now the evidence collected by Indian agencies is proving Bhutto's claims to be false.

Azhar is the mastermind of the Pulwama terror attack

It is known that Masood Azhar has been the mastermind of the 2016 Pathankot airbase attack and the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, in which more than 40 CRPF personnel were martyred. Apart from this, his name also came up in the attack on Parliament in 2001. India's intelligence agencies are keeping a close watch on Azhar's activities.

Jaish-e-Mohammed has two hideouts in Bahawalpur

Jaish-e-Mohammed's online platforms are trying to spread the illusion that Azhar is still in Bahawalpur by playing old audio clips. Bahawalpur has two major Jaish bases, Jamia Subhan Allah and Jamia Usman O Ali. Jamia Subhan Allah is the same headquarters that was targeted by India during Operation 'Sindoor'. 10 members of Azhar's family were killed in that attack.

Azhar was shifted to Peshawar in 2019

This is not the first time Azhar has been removed from Bahawalpur. He was also shifted to a safe haven in Peshawar after the Balakot airstrike in 2019.

Terrorist Syed Salahuddin living comfortably in Islamabad

Not only Masood Azhar, but Hizbul Mujahideen chief and UN-banned terrorist Syed Salahuddin is also living comfortably in Pakistan's capital Islamabad. According to sources, Salahuddin's office is in a crowded area like Burma Town, where he is often seen with armed security personnel.

India has repeatedly cornered Pakistan for providing safe haven to these terrorists but Islamabad has consistently denied these allegations.
