New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today through the 132nd episode of his "Mann Ki Baat" program. This is the third broadcast of the year 2026, broadcast through All India Radio, as usual every month. At the beginning of the program, the Prime Minister described the month of March as a turbulent one globally.
In his address, PM Modi noted that the world had recently faced a major pandemic like COVID-19, and there was hope for global stability afterward. However, in contrast, war and conflict are continuously developing in many parts of the world. He said that "a fierce war has been going on in our neighborhood for a month," which is a matter of concern.
Expressing gratitude to the Gulf countries, the Prime Minister said that a large number of Indians work there and are receiving all kinds of assistance. He explained that approximately 10 million Indians live and work in these countries, and their safety is of utmost importance in the current situation.
PM Modi stated that the region where the war is ongoing is a major energy hub. Consequently, global supplies of petrol and diesel could be affected. He stated that India is capable of meeting this challenge due to its strong diplomacy and global relations.
The Prime Minister appealed to the countrymen to ignore rumors and rely only on official information. He said that during this sensitive time, there is a need to rise above politics and think in the national interest. Those spreading rumors are harming the country.
