New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi has recently made serious allegations against the Election Commission of India (ECI) and claimed that the commission is getting 'vote theft' done for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He said that he has solid evidence of this, which is like an 'atom bomb,' and when it comes out, the Election Commission will not find a place to hide. He made this statement while talking to reporters on the Parliament premises.

Rahul Gandhi stressed that he is making this allegation seriously and he has 100% evidence. He claimed that as soon as the Congress party makes this evidence public, the whole country will know that the Election Commission is getting votes stolen for the BJP. He also said that the last few elections were rigged, including the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections and the Lok Sabha elections. According to him, the Congress investigated it and has gathered solid evidence after six months of study.

Rahul Gandhi warned the Election Commission officials that those who are involved in this rigging will not be spared. Calling it 'treason,' he said that whether the officers have retired or are somewhere else, they will be found and punished. He also said that large-scale irregularities have been found in the investigation of voter lists in a Lok Sabha constituency of Karnataka, and its details will be made public soon.

Earlier, on July 24, the Election Commission had objected to these allegations of Rahul Gandhi. The Commission had said that he has tried to defame and intimidate a constitutional institution without any concrete evidence. The Commission described these allegations as 'baseless' and said that such statements are raising questions on the credibility of the election process.

This matter has become a topic of much discussion in political circles. The BJP has condemned Rahul Gandhi's statements, while the opposition parties are considering it a serious issue and demanding a full investigation. Now it will be interesting to see when and how the Congress presents evidence in support of its claims and what response the Election Commission gives to it.
