Coimbatore: The mortal remains of Wing Commander Naman Syal, an Indian Air Force soldier who was martyred in the Tejas fighter jet crash at the Dubai Air Show, arrived at Sulur Air Force Base in Coimbatore today. His body was brought to Coimbatore by a special aircraft, where Air Force personnel paid their respects with tearful eyes.

Arrival of the Body by Special Aircraft

A special Indian Air Force aircraft arrived at Sulur Airport in Coimbatore this morning, carrying the mortal remains of Wing Commander Naman Syal. The personnel present at the Air Force base paid their respects as per military tradition.

Who is Naman Syal?

The 34-year-old pilot was a native of Patialkar village in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. Wing Commander Syal was posted at the Hyderabad Airbase. He was known for his discipline and excellent service record. Syal is survived by his wife, who is also an Indian Air Force officer. In addition to his wife, Syal's family includes his six-year-old daughter and his parents. His father, Jagarnath Syal, also served in the Indian Army before working as a principal in the Education Department.
