New Delhi: Monsoon has started showing its different colors across the country. At some places torrential rains are raining as a disaster, while at other places people are still waiting for rain. According to the Skymet Weather and the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), light to moderate rain is forecast in many parts of the country, while heavy rains are also expected at some places today.
The national capital Delhi is likely to receive light rain and thunderstorms today, although its intensity will not be very high. The Meteorological Department has not issued any special warning or red alert for today.
At the same time, the weather is going to be somewhat similar in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. It will be partly cloudy throughout the day and there is a possibility of thunderstorms and lightning in some areas.
Despite the arrival of monsoon in Uttar Pradesh, there has not been enough rainfall in many parts of the state yet, due to which heat and humidity have made the condition of people miserable. Especially Lucknow and its surrounding districts are most affected by humidity. The Meteorological Department has now issued a warning of heavy rain in some parts of the state for the next two days.

According to the latest forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of rain with thunder in many districts of the state on July 11 and 12. There is a danger of heavy rain and lightning, especially in the areas of Bundelkhand and South-Western UP.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert that today there may be heavy rain in Banda, Chitrakoot, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas. There is a warning of torrential rain with lightning and strong winds in these areas. The local administration has been instructed to remain alert.
At the same time, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning in districts like Mirzapur, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Mathura, Agra, Firozabad and Etawah. Light to moderate rain may also occur here.
Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana may receive light to moderate rain with heavy rain at some places.
West Bengal, Sikkim, Northeast India, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands are also likely to receive good rain today.
Apart from this, light rain can be seen in Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep.
Skymet also said that the intensity of rain may increase in Madhya Pradesh and East Rajasthan in the next 24 hours, which can provide relief to the farmers and local residents there.
