Who has the right to hoist the flag?
The Prime Minister has the right to hoist the national flag on 15th August, who hoists the flag from the Red Fort in Delhi. Apart from this, the Chief Minister at the state level, the District Magistrate or senior officers at the district level hoist the flag. Common citizens can also hoist the flag, but it is necessary to follow the rules.

Color and size of the flag:
The ratio of the tricolor should be 3:2. It is saffron at the top, white in the middle and green at the bottom. In the middle is the Ashoka Chakra with 24 spokes in blue.
Do not put any other object with the flag:
No picture, symbol, word or flower can be pasted on the tricolor. This is a violation of the rule and doing so can be a punishable offense.
