Uddhav and Raj Open Doors For Reconciliation
Maharashtra: Uddhav Thackrey and Raj Thackrey can reconcile in the future. Recently, Raj Thackeray proposed a truce with Uddhav Thackeray in a podcast, and Uddhav has also categorically accepted it.
Raj Thackeray's recent statement has caused a stir in Maharashtra's political landscape. In a podcast, Raj Thackeray said about his cousin and Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray "I may have political differences with Uddhav Thackeray, but if we have to unite for the benefit of Maharashtra, then I am ready for that. But the question is whether he is also ready for it."
Uddhav Thackeray responded to him affirmatively at an event organized by Shiv Sena's trade union, Bharatiya Kamgar Sena. "I am ready to forget all the differences in the interest of Marathis and Maharashtra. There is no quarrel from my side. If you really want to come with us, then you will have to stop being with the BJP," said Uddhav Thackrey.
Raj Thackrey left the Shiv Sena in 2025 because of the political rift over the major control of Shiv Sena. Bala Saheb wanted his son to lead his legacy.
However, Raj, once seen as the political heir of his uncle and the late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray, was impervious to any change and floated the MNS next year when Shiva Sena was already tottering under an unprecedented political crisis.
But, unlike Uddhav, Raj Thackrey could not make any notable political impact in Maharashtra.
But seeing the winning chariot of the BJP in Maharashtra, it seems improbable reasons, as the Mahayuti alliance, (Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shiv Sena (2022–Present; SHS), and Nationalist Congress Party, along with smaller partners such as Republican Party of India (Athawale), Rashtriya Samaj Paksha and many others), confident of their prowess can easily trample down Maha Vikas Aghadi.
Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena core voters are primarily hardcore Hindus, and a significant portion of them has shifted to Eknath Shinde's faction. Meanwhile, recent visuals from across Maharashtra show the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) pressuring people about the imposition of Marathi, which has somewhat dampened Raj Thackeray's image.
