With the State Assembly elections in Kerala fast approaching, the new BJP chief, Nitin Nabin, undertook a two-day visit to the state to formally launch the party campaign. Significantly, the party chief offered prayers to Adi Shankaracharya.

Kochi: The new BJP National President, Nitin Nabin, on Saturday visited the Sri Adi Shankaracharya Janmabhoomi Temple in Kalady, offered prayers, and sought blessings at the birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya.
Calling the visit a blessed experience, the BJP president said Adi Shankaracharya made invaluable contributions to India’s cultural and spiritual traditions, shaping a powerful legacy that continues to inspire generations. Remembering the great philosopher, the BJP chief said Shankaracharya’s enduring spiritual and cultural contributions continue to guide and inspire the nation, strengthening India’s civilisational consciousness.
The BJP President formally launched the party’s election campaign in the state by taking part in wall writing at Booth No. 164 under the Thrissur Corporation. He later addressed a meeting of scholars, professionals, and party workers at Vellanikkara in Thrissur and interacted with them.
On Friday, Nitin Nabin attended the BJP Kerala Core Committee meeting in Kochi. The meeting was attended by the party’s National General Secretary and state election in-charge Vinod Tawde, state in-charge Prakash Javadekar, and BJP state president Rajeev Chandrashekar.
Speaking on the occasion, the BJP chief said the results of the recent local body elections were a clear indication of the growing confidence of the people of Kerala in the BJP’s vision of development and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the party would carry this momentum forward by strengthening its organisation.
The BJP Kerala unit said the visit of the national president of the party has boosted the morale of party workers across the state and energised the organisation ahead of the forthcoming Assembly elections in April.
