Star opener Pratika Rawal has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Pratika was injured during the final league stage match against Bangladesh in Navi Mumbai while attempting to catch a ball.
The incident occurred in the 21st over of Bangladesh's innings. Sharmin Akhtar played a shot towards midwicket off Deepti Sharma's bowling. Pratika ran to her left to stop the ball, but slipped and twisted her ankle. Pratika, groaning in pain, fell to the ground. She was taken off the field by a physiotherapist. A BCCI source said that due to the severity of her injury, she will not be available for the knockout matches.
