New Delhi: Nepal and Malaysia are set to face each other in the seventh match of the Asian Games Men’s T20 Qualifier at the Singapore National Stadium. Both teams enter the contest after registering dominant victories against China and will be aiming to strengthen their position at the top of Group A.

Nepal riding high on record batting show

Nepal made headlines in their opening match by posting a massive total of 313 runs. Opener Kushal Bhurtel starred with a blistering 129 off 43 balls, while Kushal Malla added an unbeaten 85 from 47 deliveries. Captain Rohit Paudel further boosted the total with a rapid 69 not out off just 21 balls.

The batting depth also includes Aasif Sheikh and Dipendra Singh Airee, giving Nepal strong finishing power and stability in the middle order.

Bowling strength led by pace and spin

Nepal’s bowling attack remains balanced with Sompal Kami and Karan KC expected to lead with the new ball. In the middle overs, spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is likely to play a key role in controlling the run flow and picking crucial wickets.

Malaysia’s strong response and form players

Malaysia also impressed in their opening game, chasing down a target set by China in just eight overs. Syed Aziz and Virandeep Singh remain key figures in the batting lineup, while Mohammad Haziq Aiman and Aslam Khan provide aggressive options at the top.

Bowlers in focus for Malaysia

Vijay Unni delivered a standout performance in the first match, taking four wickets for just eight runs. He is expected to lead the bowling unit alongside Pawan Deep Singh and Syed Aziz, who adds balance as a bowling all-rounder.

With both sides in strong form, the Group A clash promises to be a competitive and closely contested encounter in Singapore.
