Visakhapatnam: The Indian women's cricket team suffered its first setback in the 2025 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup, losing by three wickets to South Africa at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. The defeat came after India's impressive start with two consecutive wins against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
This defeat has put India in a challenging position, as team currently sit third in the points table with four points. After losing to England by 10 wickets in the opening match, South Africa has made a strong comeback in the tournament, winning against both New Zealand and India.
