RCB won the match by scoring 204 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 19.4 overs. This is the highest successful run chase in WPL history. Previously, this record was also held by RCB, when they chased down 202 runs against Gujarat Giants in 2025. Notably, RCB became the first team to chase down 200+ runs in a final.
With this win, Royal Challengers Bangalore have achieved the feat of winning the WPL twice, equaling Mumbai Indians. So far, only RCB and Mumbai Indians have won the WPL twice in history, while the other teams are still in the hunt for the title.
