Jammu: Pakistan fired mortar shells and small arms in the Akhnoor and Sunderbani sectors along the Line of Control late on Monday night, drawing a retaliation from the Indian Army.

The ceasefire violation by Pakistan in the Akhnoor sector started at 22:45 hours yesterday and continued till early this morning, an Army official said.
