Punjab MLA dies after ‘accidentally’ shooting himself

The police said the bullet pierced MLA’s temple and he was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. Read further on Dynamite News:

Ludhiana: AAP Ludhiana West MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi has died of a gunshot wound to his head at his residence in Ludhiana.

Punjab AAP chief Aman Arora said the MLA would clean his licensed-pistol everyday. While he was doing so Friday night, it got fired accidentally, leading to his death, Arora further said.

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the incident occurred around 11:30 pm on Friday at the MLA's residence. 

The police said the bullet pierced MLA's temple and he was rushed to a nearny hospital where he was declared dead.

Gogi is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. The police said that they are investigating the case. (With Agency Inputs)
