Arvind Kejriwal announced his support to Reddy and appealed to all the MPs to vote for him. He even said that he has also asked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs to vote in favor of Reddy.
Justice B Sudershan Reddy is a former judge of the Supreme Court. His name was announced as the joint Opposition candidate on Wednesday. Opposition parties Leaders accompanied him during the filing of his papers in Parliament.
After doing his BA and LLB, Justice Reddy enrolled as a lawyer in the Andhra Pradesh Bar Council in the year 1971. He practised in writ, civil and constitutional matters in the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
B Sudershan Reddy is one of India’s most distinguished and progressive jurists. He has had a long and eminent legal career, including as judge of the Andhra Pradesh High Court, Chief Justice of Guwahati High Court and Judge of the Supreme Court.
