Weather Alert: Monsoon Fury Hits 22 States, Char Dham Yatra Halted; UP Faces Flood Threat
The southwest monsoon continues to remain active across India, with the India Meteorological Department forecasting widespread rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds across 22 states. A developing depression over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining northern Chhattisgarh is expected to trigger heavy to very heavy rainfall, raising concerns over flash floods, waterlogging and weather-related disruptions.
