Arrested Accused
Lucknow: STF has arrested another member of the gang that leaked the paper of the Uttarttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Review and Assistant Review Officer (RO-ARO) examination from Thakurganj.
According to the Dynamite News correspondent, the arrested accused has been identified as Kumar Abhinandan,, son of of Ravinesh Kumar, resident of Rastogi Nagar Balaganj, Thakurganj police station, Lucknow. STF has recovered 1 mobile phone from the arrested accused. The accused was arrested on Thursday from Thakurganj police station district Lucknow near Manocha Bakery.
According to the information, the Review Officer/sistant Review Officer (Preliminary) Examination was conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission Prayagraj on 11 February 2024 at various examination centers in the state.
On receiving a complaint of the question paper going viral on social media before the commencement of the examination, the UP government cancelled the said examination and allotted the entire investigation of the question paper leak case to STF UP, in which the senior officials of STF UP constituted a committee and gave necessary instructions to uncover the question paper leak case.
On the information of the informer, the team arrested the wanted accused,, who had had been absconding for a year. During police interrogation, Kumar Abhinandan told them them that his father has a medical store in the mall. He also trades medicines with him. I have a firm and office in Vibhutikhand in the name of Alaya Distributor.
Being in the medical line, he was introduced to Dr. Sharad Kumar Singh, a residentnt of Vrindavan Yojana PGI Lucknow. He always used to talk on WhatsApp. He said that he knows many people who leak the papers of examinations. I will get you a good job.
During the conversation, I told them them about filling out out the form for the examination of the reviewview officer/assistant review officer He said that if you arrange for 15 lakh rupees, I can get the paper out and give it to you.
After the pre, I will get the main exam paper out too; otherwise,, I will return the money. After the repeated requests of the accused Sharad Singh, he agreed and gave a total of about one lakh rupees in cash for the advance. As a guarantee, he took his high school, intermediate,, and graduation mark sheets and certificates and a blank check fromm my Bank of Baroda account,, etc.
He told me to reach Bhopal on the morning of 9 February 2024 and gave me me the WhatsApp numberss of his companions Subhash Prakash and Vivek Upadhyay. They called him to Bhopal to read out the paper. Subhash Prakash had given his mobile number, on which he started talking on WhatsApp.
In this regard, Rajiv Nayan Mishra, Subhash Prakash, and Vivek Upadhyay, along with his companions, have been arrested by the STF and sent to jail.
Against the arrested accused, FIR No. 74/2024 under sections 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 34/120B/201 IPC, and 3/4/9/10 UP has been registered at Civil Lines Police Station of Prayagraj district. Police have started further action.
