Lucknow: The UPPSC PCS Preliminary Examination 2025 shift 1 was conducted successfully across Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, October 12, with a strong focus on fairness and transparency. In Maharajganj district, local administration and police took proactive steps to ensure smooth operations at all exam centres.

District Magistrate Santosh Kumar Sharma and Superintendent of Police Somendra Meena personally inspected major centres including Digvijay Nath Inter College (Chowk) and Shiv Japat Singh Janata Inter College (Bhitouli). Their visits were aimed at ensuring strict adherence to guidelines and prevention of malpractice.

Security and Verification Measures in Place

Officials emphasized zero tolerance for any compromise in exam integrity. Each exam centre was under CCTV surveillance, with adequate police deployment to manage the crowd and enforce discipline.

Candidates were subject to strict verification checks, including matching admit cards and valid photo IDs, before entry. Authorities advised aspirants to stay alert, avoid spreading rumours, and report any suspicious activity immediately.

Sadar Tehsildar Pankaj Shahi confirmed that no irregularities or complaints were reported from any centre. The exam was conducted peacefully due to the effective coordination between the district administration and police force.

Arrangements such as drinking water, shaded waiting areas, basic medical facilities, and special female police deployment were made at all major centres to support candidates.
