Prayagraj: With a massive rush of pilgrims expected during the Prayagraj Magh Mela, the DDU Railway Division has gone into full alert mode. To prevent any inconvenience and ensure safe and smooth travel for passengers during the fair period, the railways have put comprehensive arrangements in place.
As part of these preparations, officials inspected the facilities at DDU Junction, which falls under the DDU Railway Division. Senior officers Jethin B Raj and Uday Singh Meena were present during the inspection. They reviewed the station premises, platforms, waiting halls and track areas, and issued necessary instructions to the on-ground staff.

Crowd management has been identified as the top priority during the Magh Mela. For this purpose, the railway administration has set up a control room and a war room at the station to closely monitor all activities. Holding areas have also been created to safely manage sudden surges in passenger numbers and avoid overcrowding.
To reduce long queues at ticket counters, additional ticket vending machines have been installed. Joint teams of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) will conduct continuous patrolling in and around the station. Officials have been directed to keep a strict watch on any suspicious activity.

The railway authorities also stated that special attention is being given to the operation of special trains and adherence to train schedules during the Magh Mela. Passengers have been advised to avoid rumours, follow instructions issued by railway staff and immediately report any issues to the control room.
The railway administration expressed confidence that these measures will ensure a safe, orderly and comfortable travel experience for passengers during the Prayagraj Magh Mela.
