New Delhi: Massive protests erupted in Delhi after the arrest of Uday Bhanu Chib, the president of Indian Youth Congress. Youth Congress workers staged a dramatic shirtless protest, raising slogans and clashing with police during the demonstration.
According to party workers present at the protest site, the arrest of their leader and the decision to send him on four days’ remand are completely unjustified. They alleged that the government machinery has been used to target the Youth Congress leadership and vowed to continue their protest until he is released.
