New Delhi: The national capital of India, has once again come under scrutiny after a series of recent rape and sexual assault cases raised serious concerns over the safety of women and children.
Over the past few days, multiple incidents reported from different parts of Delhi-NCR have triggered public concern and renewed questions over security arrangements in the city.
A woman in East Delhi was allegedly sexually assaulted after being lured with the promise of a job and later threatened. In Kalkaji’s Astha Kunj Park, a minor girl was allegedly subjected to gang rape. Another disturbing case involving the alleged rape of a seven-year-old girl in the Desh Bandhu Gupta Road area has shocked residents across the capital.
Police investigations are underway in these cases. While some accused have been arrested, further inquiries and searches continue in other matters.
