Lucknow: The Budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly today got off to a rough start with opposition's rant on the law and order situation in the state disrupting the Question Hour.

Right from the word go, members mostly belonging to the Samajwadi Party vociferously raised the issue of crime across the state and protested with banners and posters in the Well.


As repeated pleas of Speaker Hridaynarain Dixit to the agitated members to return to their seats and maintain order went unheeded, he adjourned the House for ten minutes for the frayed tempers to cool. (PTI)
