Rajya Sabha Polls: BJP plans to ensure Nitish and Nitin’s victory; Appoints key observers

Patna: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed central observers in several states ahead of the upcoming Rajya Sabha Elections to ensure the smooth conduct of the electoral process and strengthen its strategy.

The appointments were approved by BJP National President Nitin Naveen. The move is seen as part of the party’s effort to ensure the victory of its candidates, including Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP leader Nitin Naveen.

Two Observers Appointed for Bihar

For Bihar, the BJP has appointed two senior leaders as central observers. These include Vijay Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, and Harsh Malhotra, Union Minister of State in the Government of India. Both leaders will oversee the party’s preparations and coordination for the Rajya Sabha elections in the state.

Observers Named for Other States

The BJP has also announced similar appointments in other states. Harsh Sanghvi, Deputy Chief Minister of Gujarat, has been appointed as the central observer for Haryana.

Meanwhile, Chandrashekhar Bawankule, a senior BJP leader and minister in the Maharashtra government, has been assigned the responsibility of overseeing the Rajya Sabha elections in Odisha.

Role of Central Observers

According to the party, the appointed observers will coordinate with BJP MLAs in their respective states and closely monitor all election-related activities. The objective is to ensure that the Rajya Sabha election process proceeds smoothly and in line with the party’s electoral strategy.
